Triumph Speed 400, Scrambler 400X booking amount increased: Details - Times of India

Triumph Motorcycles has revised the booking amount for the newly launched Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X in the Indian market. The Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 booking amount have now been increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000.

Developed in partnership with Bajaj, Triumph recently launched the Speed 400 in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom), valid only for 10,000 bookings. Currently, the Triumph Speed 400 is available at a price of Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Triumph might introduce its Scrambler 400 in October 2023.
Powering the naked motorcycles are a 398.15 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, churning out a peak power of 39.5 hp and a max torque of 37.5 Nm. Both engines come paired with a six-speed gearbox and a torque-assist cluctch. Triumph Speed 400 has a top speed of 160 kmph.

Talking about the features, the Triumph Speed 400 is equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster, LED headlamp and tail-lamp, LED turn indicators, and 17-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear. Braking duties are handled by 300mm disc brake at the front and 230mm disc brake at the rear.

In the Indian market, Triumph Speed 400 rival against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Harley-Davidson X440 and BMW G 310R. Once launched, the Triumph Scrambler 400X will go up against the KTM 390 Adventure and the BMW G 310 GS. The Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X will be manufactured in India by Bajaj Auto.
