The Triumph Speed 400 motorcycle has been introduced in the Indian market recently at an introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom). Triumph offered a discount of Rs 10,000 for the first 10,000 buyers and now the Speed 400 costs Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The company has now commenced deliveries of the Speed 400 across its dealerships. Bookings for the Speed 400 can be done at a token amount of Rs 10,000 online or at authorized dealerships across the country.

Triumph Speed 400: Features
For suspension, the Triumph Speed 400 comes equipped with 43 mm Upside-down (USD) forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The motorcycle gets dual-channel ABS and disc brakes at the front and rear for safety. Moving on to the features, the Triumph Speed 400 has received an all-LED headlamp, a switchable traction control system, and an analogue instrument cluster with LCD.

Triumph Speed 400: Engine
At its heart, the Triumph Speed 400 uses a 398.15 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-valve, DOHC TR-series engine, churning out a peak power of 39 hp @ 8,000 rpm and a max torque of 37.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission and gets a slip and assist clutch.

Triumph Speed 400: Price and rivals
Triumph Motorcycles launched the Speed 400 at an introductory price of Rs 2.23 lakh, which has now been increased to Rs 2.33 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) in India. Triumph Speed 400 rivals the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Harley-Davidson X440, and the Bajaj Dominar 400 across the country.
