Salman Khan to get a rent of Rs 1 crore per month for his Santacruz property | Hindi Movie News - Times of India

Not many are aware that Salman Khan owns a four floor commercial space in Santacruz area of Mumbai. The actor bought the place in 2012 for about Rs 120 crore with the sole intention of using it for commercial purposes. As per reports his father Salim Khangot an agreement done for the place with the retail chain Food Hall, which is backed by Kishore Biyani’s Future Group.That agreement was for a monthly rent of Rs 80 lakh for a period of 5 years after which the rent would increase to Rs 89.60 lakh per month. The group had also paid a deposit of Rs 2.40 crore. After the first five years, the contract was renewed for another two years, with the rent for the second year being Rs 94.01 lakh per month.
It was then reported that Salman Khan wanted to terminate the contract over non-payment of dues, he reached out to The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and the case was ruled in his favour.
And it is now being reported Salman Khan and his family has found itself a collaborator, they have agreed to rent out the location to LandCraft Retail, which owns Food Square for a rent of Rs 1 crore per month.
On the work front, Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Tiger 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi. It’ll be released in cinemas on Diwali this year.
The precursor of the film is all set to release on September 27, Yash Chopra’s 91st birth anniversary. The film directed by Maneesh Sharma is all set to release during Diwali and will take the Spy Universe story forward. The film will also have a cameo by Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan.
