Pictures recently captured by TOI Auto cameras reveal new details on the much anticipated Himalayan 450 ADV from Royal Enfield. Expected to launch sometime in the later part of 2023, there are a lot of expectations from the Himalayan 450, which would reportedly feature the first-ever liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine from Royal Enfield. Based on the visuals of the test mule that we spotted, it is not only the engine department where the all-new Himalayan would set new benchmarks for the brand. There are considerable upgrades in the tech department as well.

The biggest upgrade that we were able to stop on the test mule, was a big and round, fully-digital display for the rider and motorcycle information. On the lower front end, you can also see that the ADV will now get a pair of upside-down (USD) front forks with linger travel. The test mule also came with a tall windscreen upfront that sat above the all-LED headlamp that the motorcycle had. The presumed Himalayan 450 test mule also featured LED indicators at the rear, which doubled up as brake lights. This would also suggest that the upcoming motorcycle could be the first Royal Enfield to feature all-LED lighting. The tank on the test bike also seemed to be considerably larger than what we have seen in the existing Himalayan.

The test mule we spotted further seemed to be trying out the new accessories that Royal Enfield could be developing for the ADV motorcycle. We were able to spot a pair of LED fog lamps, updated front jerry can stays and a pair of aluminium side panniers at the rear and a big and spacious tail box as well. The test mule also features a split-seat configuration and spoked wheels with a wider size on the front, compared to a chunkier tyre profile at the rear.
