MotoGP Bharat: How to reach BIC, turns to look out for, parking details etc - Times of India


The inaugural edition of the MotoGP Bharat is being held at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) in Greater Noida between September 22 to 24, 2023. So far, Marco Bezzecchi of VR46 Racing team has claimed the pole position ahead of reigning champion ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia and Pramac’s Jorge Martin.
Later today, the 11-lap sprint race will take place. Here, we take a look at how to reach the BIC, turns at the circuit to look out for, and parking details.
How to reach BIC
By car: The BIC is well-connected to Delhi and other major cities by road. From Delhi, you can take the Yamuna Expressway and exit at Greater Noida. The BIC is located about 10 km from the exit.
Shuttle buses: There are several shuttle buses and cabs deployed in Delhi NCR region for ease of commute of the spectators.

By metro: The nearest metro station from the BIC is the Pari Chowk . From there, you can take a taxi or auto-rickshaw to the BIC.
Turns to look out for
The BIC has a total of 13 turns, but there are a few in particular that the riders will need to be careful of:
Turn 1: This is a sharp right-hander . The riders will need to brake hard and carry a lot of speed into the turn.
Turn 3: This is a fast right-hander that leads onto the back straight.
Turn 4: Turn 4 follows the back straight and leads to another hard braking zone where riders will have an opportunity to overtake.
Turn 6,7: This is a chicane where the riders will need to be careful not to lose control of their bikes in this turn.
Turn 8: It’s a parabola, which opens up wide and then narrows down, making it hard for the riders to overtake.
Turn 13: This is a fast left-hander that leads onto the main straight. The riders will need to be careful not to overshoot the turn and go off the track.
Parking details
There is ample parking available at the BIC. Parking will be available at the circuit for a fee. The parking areas are located close to the main entrance of the circuit. For the tickets/passes that you are carrying, you need to note that the parking will be behind your stand.
