French manufacturer Citroen is gearing up to debut its C3 Aircross midsize SUV in India. The company has now revealed the fuel-efficiency figures for its latest product which, upon its launch, will take on a host of rivals, including Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and MG Astor.

The Citroen C3 Aircross is based on the same C-cube platform as its sibling C3 hatchback. It employs a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that belts out 110 hp and 190 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a six-speed MT. The OEM has revealed that this mill will return an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 18.5 km/l.
With this engine, the C3 Aircross will be slated between the 1.0-litre turbo petrol-equipped midsize SUVs and 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine offered with other rivals. Here, let’s take a look at how this product from Citroen ranks in terms of fuel efficiency against its competitors.

Talking about the features, the all-new entrant in the competitive midsize SUV market in India will boast a 7-inch instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto start-stop, and hill-hold feature among others.
The Citroen C3 Aircross will be available in 5-seat and 7-seat configurations and interestingly, won’t feature a sunroof in any of its variants. It is expected to go on sale soon while the bookings are set to commence in September, the company said.
