Established with the launch of Renault Duster back in 2012, the mid-size SUV segment is now crowded with options ranging from Rs 10 to Rs 30 lakh! While the mid-size SUV segment has now bifurcated into further sections, the space currently hosts a total of about 14 different offerings combined. There are now two new products set to join this space very soon to further expand it – Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross.

While the Elevate marks Honda’s entry into the ever-growing mid-size SUV segment with the company’s tried-and-tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine along with the Honda Sensing suite of ADAS tech, the Citroen C3 Aircross will offer a three-row seating layout, which would make it the most affordable seven-seater SUV in India, in all likelihood.

The Kia Seltos facelift is currently the latest offering to be launched in this competitive segment. With its vast equipment list including a panoramic sunroof, ADAS tech, dual-zone climate control, dual 10.25-inch displays, multiple powertrain options, and its modern looks, the 2023 Seltos seems to have the perfect recipe to become the best-selling offering in the segment.

The Hyundai Creta has been the undisputed segment leader since around the debut of the new-gen model, but the market has significantly evolved since its debut. With the introduction of Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross, buyers will now have more options to choose from. Pricing for the Elevate will likely be revealed in early September, while the C3 Aircross could go on sale next month.
If given a choice, would you consider purchasing Honda Elevate, Citroen C3 Aircross, Kia Seltos facelift, or any other of their direct rivals altogether? Let us know in the comments down below.
