After renaming the microblogging site Twitter, the owner of ‘X’ Elon Musk officially renamed the aggregating platform TweetDeck to XPro on Wednesday. The announcement of the renaming was made by Musk on July 28 through a tweet in which he stated, “Name is changing to XPro. Will come with a wide range of psy op plugins.”

Subsequently, the platform underwent some significant changes, including the addition of the mention of XPro and a link to “go to legacy XPro.” While the platform has not yet announced any subscriber-only benefits, reports from The Verge suggest that such benefits are expected to be introduced soon.

Earlier on July 3, the company’s support account had mentioned that XPro would only be available to those who are willing to pay for verification within 30 days.

Elon Musk’s recent move is part of the broader plans to fully rebrand the micro-blogging platform on both Android and iOS apps. Last week, Musk also announced that Twitter would now support dark mode and light mode, with the dark mode being set as the default option. However, after receiving feedback from users, Musk confirmed that “dim mode” would be removed, and only dark and light modes would remain.

The rebranding efforts were also evident in the unveiling of a new logo for the micro-blogging platform. The new logo features a white “X” on a black background, replacing the iconic blue bird symbol that had represented Twitter for the past 17 years.

Twitter’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, shared the news on her Twitter account, expressing enthusiasm with the message, “X is here! Let’s do this,” and posting an image of the logo projected on Twitter’s San Francisco offices.
